Saso – ‘Exitudes’

October 25, 2011

Never judge a book by its cover… At least that’s what they say.  But, Saso’s awesomely simple album cover, and even their fantastically minimalist website completely describes ‘Exitudes’, the Irish band’s first album in five years.

If you love Radiohead but hate Radiohead rip-off bands, then Saso is for you!  The voice rivals Thom Yorke, and the quality rivals just about anyone…  Dark, straightforward, slow, reverb, ambient, beautiful…. there are your tags!!

2011 has proven to be the best year of indie releases, well, at least as long as I’ve been writing reviews (and that’s been quite some time!).

Another indescribable release that would be disappointing to pass up….

The Second Frost.

October 4, 2011

Last May I wrote about a fun-loving Norwegian duo called Frost.

This time I’m re-introducing them with their new single ‘The Magician’.  Their first single ‘Parade’ was great, but I think this track AND video are even more amazing!!

Their brand new full album is coming up within the next few months, so hold tight…
